Take Action Now
Below are three ways in which you can participate in our campaign to support veterans with PTS and get the word out about how service dogs are a healthy, heartwarming way to help vets to begin to heal from their invisible wounds.
- ORGANIZE A SCREENING - At your local church, community center, theater; at your university; at an upcoming conference. Go to our Screenings page to find out how.
- DONATE TO AN ORGANIZATION - If you like the organizations featured in our film, you can go to the Training Centers page and donate directly to your organization of choice. We also encourage you to donate to any trusted facility in your area, whether it be with cash or your volunteer time.
- CALL YOUR LOCAL REPRESENTATIVE - The VA has not yet agreed to support the cost of a service dog for veterans. The veterans and their families have to pay the high fee for a specially trained dog and its maintenance either from their own savings, or rely on the generosity of charity organizations and philanthropists. If you take the time to call your local representative and request that more action be taken from the VA, then you can be part of the movement to ensure that fewer veterans live continue to live out their lives under the burden of depression, the heavy reliance on medications, and with the daily risk of death by suicide. The directory of U.S. representatives, with their contact details, can be found here.
