TBOS makes an impact
with the passing of THE PAWS ACT
After 2 years in production and all our efforts to promote the film while pushing for change in policy at the VA, President Biden recently signed into law the PAWS ACT, a bill to create a 5-year pilot program funded by the VA to pay for service dogs for our veterans suffering with PTSD.
Rep. Mikie Sherrill, sponsor of the bill, tells us that our lobbying effort in the House, and the screening of the film hosted by Nancy Pelosi for Congress, played an important role leading to the passage of this bill which has been languishing in Congress for years. 3 of our stars, Phil Bauer, Sylvia Bowersox and Walter Parker, walked the halls of Congress with their service dogs Champ, Timothy and Jackson, meeting with members of The House to lobby for this bill. We could not be prouder to have been a part of this major accomplishment.
